GORILLAZ - 'BUDUĆNOST DOLAZI'

Pesma nazvana po Čoveku bez imena, po glumcu koji je ostavio neizbrisiv, svetli trag u istoriji kinematografije, a posebno u čuvenim 'špageti-vestern' filmovima.

Po harizmatičnom Clintu Eastwoodu, koji nikad nije prestao biti cool, uprkos svojim ozbiljnim godinama...

Ima li veće časti od te da završiš u pesmi Damona Albarna i njegove fantastične družine? Neeeeema!

Kroz celu pesmu provlači se zvuk melodike, koji neodoljivo podseća na muziku iz filma 'A Fistful of Dollars' u kojem je Clint glumio opakog revolveraša. Sećate se melodike?

Meni je zadavala glavobolje, jer ne umem da čitam note, pa, samim tim, ni da sviram. Doduše, naučila sam onu tralalakalicu 'Na kraj sela žuta kuća' i tu je moja muzička karijera odapela uz velike počasti, što od mene, što od mojih ukućana koji su njenu smrt pozdravili snažnim zvukom olakšanja!

No, Albarn očito nije išao mojim putem, pa je stvorio pesmu-spomenik glumcu kog obožava.

Nije pesma posvećena samo njemu, bilo je tu i nekih drugih uticaja, ali mene zanima samo ovaj. U spotu su i animirani članovi grupe 2-D, Murdoc, Noodle, Russel koji su delo strip-crtača Jamieja Hewletta. Stihove je otpevao Damon Albarn, a svoj deo je imao i reper Del Tha Funkee Homosapien.

Rečenica - 'I got sunshine in a bag' se odnosi najverovatnije na marihuanu koja se krišom donosila na zabave, ali prvi put ju je izgovorio Clint Eastwood baš u filmu 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' aludirajući na torbu obešenu o sedlo u kojoj se nalazi zlato koje sija poput sunčevih zraka.

Bend 'Gorillaz' je sa ovim singlom, s njihovog prvog albuma, 'Gorillaz' koji je izašao 04.03. 2001. ušao i u 'Ginisovu knjigu rekorda', zbog sedam miliona prodatih primeraka.

Zanimljivo je da je ovaj sjajan virtuelno-animirani bend snimio i virtuelni govor koji je trebao održati na dodeli MTV nagrada. Nominovani su u tri kategorije, ali nisu dobili ni jednu nagradu, tako da je nekoliko desetina hiljada dolara, uloženih u ovaj inovativan video performans, propalo pošto govor nikad nije održan.
